Since the 1970s, I've been traveling and studying ethnic arts of many cultures. In 1979, I participated in an archaeological dig in Israel, uncovering a site from the period around 300 AD. It was rich in Roman glass, pottery, gold, and other unusual items. The experience of seeing these antiquities first-hand deepened my interest in ethnic and primitive art. These cultural interests became a bigger part of my life.

My travels took me to Southeast Asia in the early 1990s, and I was struck by the richness of the ornate, hand-made craftsmanship I saw there. Whether old, tribal, or modern, I wanted to share the things I saw with the world.

In 1994, I founded Natural Touch, and began working with natural fibers in forms of clothing, baskets, weavings, handbags, and beads. The business quickly evolved almost completely around beads. Over the past eightteen years, Natural Touch has grown into a thriving bead business, specializing in finely made beads and ornamental objects. Today, Natural Touch is an internationally known and respected resource for fashion & jewelry designers, bead stores, hobbyists, and the avid collector.

Along with our specialty line of Resin beads, we offer a striking line of Italian Metal Buttons, that came out of a warehouse collection . In the near future, we will offer antique beads, masks, batik and woven textiles, wood items, baskets, and other decorative arts.
